Hi
Ive recently had a really thick carpet fitted in my living room. The doors were literally stuck closed once it was fitted so I removed them and planed a bit off the bottom. They open okay but drag slightly. Will this damage the carpet at all or just leave lines like when I hoover? I dont want to take too much off the bottom of the door as the gap will end up being huge and Im hoping the carpet will flatten slightly with more use? Plus, the adjoining hallway floor is wood so there is quite a step down from carpet to wood and shows of the bottom gap more.
