Hi All,

Doing up the house, and as part of renovating each room, i'm redoing the door frames as they are funny sizes, and also not all the same.
Downstairs is going be all 762mm standard width so thats fine.

But im not sure about upstairs.
Thy all currently sit somewhere in between the 686 and 762mm standard widths.
Im thinking going down to 686 standard but that means making them all slightly smaller.
I could fit 762 in probably 2 out of the 3 openings if cutting the wall a bit.

686mm seems quite narrow, but of course gives more space in the room.
Its a 1930's semi and the rooms are not massive.
How do people feel about 686mm width doors, are they pretty common for upstairs for bedrooms?

I'd rather got for a standard size now rather than mess around with doors going forward.

Thanks.

27" and 30" doors were the norm many have a mixture of both according to home layout.
