Door Subframe

Hi there

I'm looking to fit a flyscreen to my back door however when the door is closed the handle protrudes into the flyscreen ripping the screen so I am looking to fit subframe over my current door.

I have tried searching to see what I can use but have not had much luck other than wood. Its a white double glazing door so have some wood would look so good.

So my question is what can I use other than wood preferably plastic (for easy maintanance).

Any links so I know what I'm looking for will be appreciated.
