Door to be blocked off if possible

Hi all,

Just pre planning here does anyone think it will be a problem to block the door to the left on the picture under the carport, after the conservatory patio door will be in place this will be the right far window on picture just thinking of fireascape? etc etc.

This will be the design factor of the new kitchen once the conserv is done

Shouldn't be a problem. No different to a flat for example.

if you place yourself in any one room would the new arangment reduce your escape possibilitys
as in the room the door is in now is a fire exit if you block off that doorway have you got 2 exits from that room!!

Thanks for the replys both, yeah there is the living room door thats linked to the front door this is linked halfway up the kitchen and then the conservatory door will be opposite, plus i will be taking out a middle stud wall in the center of the kitchen so this will open up the area of the kitchen.

Time to get kitchen planning i think
