Dormer window cost

Hello there.

I have planning for a 2x2 meter dormer window and i have been quoted £4000 for the work, is this a fair price?
It is a hip style roof with tiles being used on the face. A cheap window, cost £400. 150mm timber walls with 70mm celotex and 20mm insulated plasterboard. They need some small scaffold along the side of the house.
There is no plumbing or electrics in the new dormer.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks your right maybe i should. I have had some work done already and would like to use the same company as they were good, the price just seems high for what i'm having done and maybe someone out there has had similar work and how much it cost.
This is 1000 a square meter there asking, i was thinking a lot less.

So depends if your willing to pay each person working the equivalent of

(your quote - est. material cost) / (no. of men x no. of days work)

and you feel thats reasonable.
