I've just received delivery of insulated plaster board for the ceiling in my outbuilding. I just need to know the best way to put them up. I'm assuming that to use normal methods - screws, nails - would create cold bridging? Can these boards only be dot and dabbed? I do have a secondary conundrum, which is, what's the best way to insulate a single skin aerated block wall. Can i get away with just dot and dab to the walls with 50mm celotex boards, so no cavity and then perhaps just cover with polythene sheeting before boarding? hopefully someone out there is able to help. Many thanks. Mart

You will need to mechanically fix the ceiling boards i.e. nail or screw.

50mm celotex may be ok for the walls. How thick are the walls?
