Hi all

I've been stripping old paper off the walls and some plaster has come away in large areas back to brick. I had a quote for a plaster to repair and to also skim an artex ceiling and it's way over budget.

Next idea.... can I dot and dab plasterboard onto the brick and then lining paper over to paint?
Or do I need to batton the wall and fix the plaster board to that?

Also... the ceiling has been lined with paper and then artex over the top. Any tips on removing this other than brute force with a scraper?

Thanks

Foam adhesive might be easier for you than board adhesive.

How would this be applied? All around the edge and some lumps in the middle?

I do it round the edge and a few stripes across. Do buy a gun and use gun grade, not the aerosol type, and do buy some gun cleaner. The full tubes can be left on the gun for up to about 3 months or so.
