Hello to all.
Just bought a shell of a sandstone house. No plaster on any walls, which are solid with no cavity. Floors are concrete.
All external walls I'll frame and insulate with 50mm Kingspan, then board.
The party wall I'm going to dot and dab. Mainly cos I can do that, but can't plaster full walls.
My questions are -
1/. Should I inject a dpc into the stone/mortar?
2/. I was thinking of putting visqeen on the external walls. Is this correct, and should it go on the wall or on top of battens?
3/. Does the sandstone need some preparation to accept dot and dab?
Thanks for any help.
