Probably been discussed a thousand times, but I'd rather ask the question than try and find someone in the exact same situation as me...
Kitchen plastered about a week ago, and all looked dry - so I did the mist coat. After doing this I stood back and noticed the dot and dab marks showing through the paint (photo attached). It seems me painting, and breathing/sweating has increased humidity in the air and the wall I hadn't yet painted I could see the dots showing up there too - so it obviously wasn't all dry despite it looking like it was.
I've stopped painting now to leave it to dry for longer - but just want to check I haven't completely f**ked up here, have I? It's will dry evenly eventually? I'm not now stuck with a polkadot wall?
I've always used Leyland Trade Super Leytex Brilliant White Matt Emulsion Paintand has always been very good.
The description says "Ideal for use on new plaster, the permeable film allows new plaster surfaces to breathe and dry out." - so I'm hoping the dot and dab can still dry through it. But, if somebody who knows what they're talking about can confirm to put my mind at ease?
I've seen some horror stories online of people having to knock all the plaster off and start again when painting too early, but hoping by using this paint, and stopping after one coat, will have saved me from a disaster!
