Hi all,
I have a problem with my gable end of my semi 1940's property. Turns out the build quality is dire, using what they could get their hands on after the war and throwing it up. I've hacked off the plaster and opened up the cavity, cleaned off the build up of plaster on the ties. it's full of debris allowing passage of water.
I seem to have 2 damp courses on the internal wall (bitumen). One just above floorboard level (level with the external DPC), the other, below joist level (2 bricks lower). Has anyone seen this before? I'm at a loss why theres a second DPC above the floorboards. Thanks
