I'm going to be replacing a number of double glazing panels over the weekend as they are misting up. I'm after some advice on where to fit packers.
At the moment all my fixed units appears to be supported on just two packers underneath, with the opening windows (all top hung) having two packers underneath and two side packers on each side, one towards the top and one towards the bottom.
Having read online, it seems to be recommended by some that all units are packed on all 4 sides, so the glazing unit cannot be lifted in any direction once it's fitted.
Is this good or bad practice? I can see logic both with packing round all 4 sides to keep it tight and secure, and leaving gaps for expansion / movement.
