I am about to renew my old windows with uPVC double glazing.
The upstairs small awning windows catch the fascia board when opening.
I do not wish to cut or modify the Fascia board to accommodate the new installation of uPVC windows, but I still need two small awning opening windows. If the window is measured from outside brick to brick top and bottom what can be done to solve this problem so that all upstairs windows can freely open?
The measurements are approximately 2000mm wide x 1200mm. 5-section.
Also can someone explain what is a P trim??

In situations like this you measure the window shorter in height which in turn will make the opener shorter so now it'll clear the fascia board, you then build the height of the frame back up with a frame extender also referred to as clip on or add on, you normally see this down the hinge side of pvc doors which is done to bring the hinges away from the plaster
