Double Pole 60A switch fuse wiring config

Hi, I'm probably being dumb, but does it matter whcih way round you wire the feed to a Double Pole 60A switch fuse. i.e Fig A or Fib in the diagram.
It seems like both wiring configs provide the same protection a.) isolation and b.) overload protection


Any help appreciated, thanks in advance

Having the fuse after the switch is more sensible, as it provides isolation to allow the fuse to be changed. In terms of electrical function, it doesn't really make any difference.
 
Hi Guys, sorry for delay, wasn't watching the topic...doh!

Switch doesn't have a neon


I agree, if the feed goes straight to the switch contacts then you can isolate the unit to work on it - there is an exposed copper bar connected to one side of the fuse holder which would still be live if it the feed were wired to the fuse holdr and the fuse was good.
