Hi
I recently had a multi fuel stove installed (by a Hetas registered company) using a twin wall insulated flue system to take the flue out through the ceiling and roof.
I've noticed that where the flue goes through the loft space the flue is less than 50mm from the a joist. When I've searched online for info on this everything I've found suggests the minimum gap between the flue and any combustibles is 50mm. Does anyone know if there are any circumstances when less than 50mm is acceptable (safe)?
