Hi
I am at the point of insulating my loft conversation, with 75mm celotex. In the ceiling I plan to use this as well. Do I need to leave gaps in the insulation for the down lights or will a hole the same size as the lights do.

Thanks

If you mean in the ceiling of the loft conversion, no holes in insulation.

You will have to use more suitable lights.

Gaps in the insulation is not permitted.
Recessed lights will overheat and cause a fire if covered with insulation.

Therefore, recessed lights are not permitted.
