Hi,

A friend of mine has a seperate bathroom and toilet room.

They recently had some downlights installed in the bathroom and now want some in the room with only a toilet in.

As it is not a bathroom do the zones and regs still apply or can they be standard fire rated downlights?

Cheers

Yes that's fine if it's just a toilet in the room as you say, one maybe
two downlights will do I guess they would get the same lights in the bathroom to match

ok,

just spoke to my friend and it turns out the lights in the main bathroom were installed by someone who did tiling and not an electrician so wont have been done under regs or signed off...

what are the implications of this in the future?

also, is there anyway of checking if the downlights are IP rated and suitable for a bathroom?

cheers
