Hi

I am in the process of building a Garden Room, I have laid a concrete base with a DPM underneath and now that I have removed the shuttering what do I do with the excess DMP that is coming up the sides?

I thought that I should leave it come up and curl it around so it comes on to the floor and put the DPC above it, that way no water would come into the concrete from the sides. Or should I cut it off at ground level?

Thanks for any advice.

There is little point having put a dpm in there if you lf leave the sides exposed and do not detail it up the sides of the slab. It will however be vulnerable if left exposed.

Are you building a timber frame building on this with a suspended floor or do you intend to have the concrete as the floor?
