Draining system and inhibitor

Hello,

I cleaned out my CH Fernox filter the other day. Not sure how much water came out. Maybe 4 litres. Refilled the system with water. Thinking I ought to have added inhibitor. Trouble is, I don't know what the plumber previously put in when the system was drained to add new radiators. I have not been able to make contact. So I need to drain the whole thing to avoid risk of mixing incompatible inhibitors as far as I know...

If I just drain the system through the filter, is there some cleaner product I'm supposed to put in first or can I just drain it until water stops coming out of filter (I assume some will be left in radiators) then add the Fernox Express inhibitor I have?

To save hassle, how about part draining it so that at least removes some of the existing water and chemicals from the system..?

There was black sediment from the filter clean although it probably hadn't been emptied for at least three years.

Thanks
