I shall be having all the windows in my house replaced with UPVC windows in January but I am not replacing the external doors. So as to not let the side down after my new windows are installed, I am seeking to draught proof the old doors as well as I can without spending a lot of money I have already done some work with draught excluder tape and new "door brushes". That has improved them significantly. But they both have 35 year old double glazed panes which is also causing heat loss.
I am thinking of using windows insulation film which many on the web say is effective Can anyone suggest UK brands that they have had success with.
One pane is quite small relative to the door (26cm x 33cm) and the other is nearly half the area of the door (64cm x 103cm)
Any suggestions as to a brand of insulation film to buy or a different approach would be much appreciated Please see pictures below
