At my daughter’s request, I’ve built a little dressing table in the middle section of a 3 sliding mirror doored wardrobe and it needs a light to allow her and her mum to to do the makeup thing with good lighting on their faces. The space is 670mm wide and I’m looking for ideas. The only stipulation is that the light must be mains operated (USB or otherwise) and not battery. Thanks in advance.

Maybe a hole drilled through the back to reach the nearest socket, and an adjustable height lamp, or clip on lamp.

Thanks for the rapid reply. The power supply is readily available. What’s more important is the type of light or lights which will maximise facial lighting without being to too bright.

There are thousands of lights and lamps and down to personal choice.

IKEA do a good range and relatively cheap.

Good luck!

I did exactly that for my wife's make up mirror using strip LEDs from IKEA. Works great.

Probably get an led light in the 5-6k region so it is close to daylight and not too orange
