I live in an 1860s cottage, we have a porch extension built around 30 years ago, which has a ventilation issue resulting is a buildup of mould and general damp feeling throughout the winter. I'm about to renovate the porch and part of this will be looking at installing some kind of ventilation.
Its a single skin brick structure and seems like an air brick could be a good option. My question is, is there any issues with me drilling a series of holes in an existing brick to essentially make it an air brick? This seems like a simpler solution that taking a brick out and replacing perhaps.
Thanks
