Fitted a bathroom, end of last year, when i came round to fitting all the MRS's fancy glass shelves and chrome towel holders, found out they was an absaloute nightmare to drill used diamond tipped bits, with like a template so it didnt slip out of place, my question is, is this the best way 2 do it.

Also i grouted a little to mmuch and didnt wipe off quick enough, ive used warm soapy water, spunges, and the chemical cleaning stuff from TOPPS, none of it works brilliantly, as the tiles are like a stoney textured type sp not a smooth face.

Any help greatly appreciated guys, cheers

You need to use tile bits to drill into tiles. You can get a set of 3 from Screwfix for a fiver. :D

they are porcelain tiles so ordinary tile bits are no good whatsoever, to go through porcelain they have to be a good quality drill bit, best get yourself some from these guys, i drill loads of porcelain and heve never had a problem using their drills http://365drills.com/

Didn't realise that you had to have special bits for porcelain.

They look a right price so will stick to ceramic tiles in the future I think! :D

Your a nasty pasty davie mate, but i like it ha ha ha.

wait til the winter comes, fill a 45 gallon drum with cold water, leave some old used tiles soaking for a few days then ask him to clean them off for you, ah reminds me of my days as an apprentice that does, glad them days are long gone ha ha ha

Nice one they are exactly the ones i got to do the job, but the yellow template is a right cheap piece of ****, they lasted about 2 mins, untill i realised you need to keep them wet, even then not much longer, ah well nothing for them then, thats any good

cheers
