Dripping Tap (Water Mains Tap)

Hi Guys

My Tap to turn off the water to the house is dripping

The water is actually coming through where the shaft of the handle sits

It isn't a fast drip but is slow and constant

How do you stop this?

Give the small nut on the shaft a bit tighten, just a bit and not too much or you won't be able to turn the valve.
It's called a packing gland
