Hi,

Does anyone know how to fix a constant dripping from this type of tap in photo's, i think it the hot side that not shutting off properly if that makes any difference, its brand new but if i can fix it I'd rather that than have to take it back and wait for delivery of a new one.

Thanks

It looks like a Bramham series tap, using ceramic inserts in place of the old fashioned rubber washer.
Ask the supplier for a new insert, and keep what you have until it arrives, maybe?

So is it possible to take the tap apart and see what's failed....will it be obvious the part that needs replacing?

Thanks

It won't be visibly obvious if the ceramic cartridge is letting by (apart from the symptom!) - maybe there's debris you can clean out and put it back, but if it's new then get a new cartridge from supplier as they can cost £30 to buy, and hard to identify if you don't know what tap it's from.

A trick I have occasionally succeeded with old ones is to insert a 1/2 inch fibre washer (the ones used on tap connectors) between the cartridge and the inside of the tap which increases the force holding a seal between them and on the ceramic disks too.
