dry verge advice needed

I have built a lean to roof on my extention. I am planning to fit fascia board on gables and individual dry verge caps ?? rather than single length. My questions are


1 do I still need to fit cement boards beneath baton ends about 50mm out from bickwork and mortar the baton ends or do I just leave it without mortar?

2 If no mortaring needed, how far should batons ends protrude?

The dry verge units replace the need for a wet verge and undercloak.

depending on what dry verge you use
Russel dry verge over hang the lath 50mm
Marley and klober 35mm
But I'm sure most dry verge will come with its own spec
No you won't need mortar behind
Also the dry verge is maintenance free any probs get in touch
