Dry Verge Units Slippage

Looking at buying a house and the survey showed that there was slippage of the dry verge units. Is this likely to just be historic poor fixing or indicative of an underlying problem?

Yes, not done properly. Typical of upvc fitters, roofers or diyer's who don't do things properly.
