Dry Verges - Retro fit

Hi Guys

I am new here and wanted to get your thoughts.
I have had retrofitted dry verge caps on my 1970s detached house in Leicester by a roofer.
The tiles are Double Romans and the caps are manufactured by Timloc.
The roofer has not nailed the caps into the battens/beans however in to the Gable with a screw. I have noticed that the old mortar is still in place.

This was all installed in May and it looked fine. It is now August and we had started to have some wind and recently windy weather measuring 40 mph (i think).

I have noticed that the end caps are coming off or do not hug the tiles tight.

Any ideas on what i should do next?

Get this 'roofer' back to do the job properly (maybe download the manufacturers instructions/guidance so you know how they should be fitted).
If he doesn't want to know, or wants paying to sort it out send him a letter before action, if that doesn't wake him up then small claims.
We haven't had any exceptional weather since May so he can't hide behind that (unless you've had a typhoon), roof work should last 10 years plus if done properly.

In detail no but they've obviously not been secured to the roof structure properly, if they had then they wouldn't be falling off
I've just checked mfr instructions and they are quite specific about batten centres and nailing each section to batten end or counterbatten. Screws instead of nails should be fine if they used enough & if they are into something solid.

Not excusing the roofer as it is a poor job but it'll never be correct fitting them over an existing verge.

Verge tiles and old cement pointing need removed, then battens checked/repaired and tiles refitted with dry verges from the bottom up.
