can anyone advise how to dry out a concrete floor. We had a leak in the kitchen that has now been fixed. This has left the concrete wet, which now the vinyl has been lifted is drying out.
When the floor was laid (6M x 6M), celotex was used under the screed as the depth was so deep. We are now worried the water will be sat under the celotex and unable to escape through the concrete.
Does anyone have any advice to help dry the entire floor or are we looking at digging it up and removing the celotex? We are getting a de-humidifier, will this be enough?

Cover the damp areas with an 1" of dry sawdust, replace with more dry sawdust until it cannot wick up any more, then leave swept bare concrete surface to dry, that should do it...pinenot :)

Typically, no other measures are needed but to lift any coverings and allow the floor to naturally dry out - which it mostly will have done by now.

Even long standing leakage will dry out in an astonishingly quick time.

FWIW: you could hire a dehumidifier, but only have it on when you are in the house.

Depending how bad the leak was and how much moisture is in your floor. I would wait a month and if possible have a moisture test carried out.
