I know this is a long shot but we would like to start on our single storey rear extension soon (within a month).
Unfortunately after all the rain the ground is extremely wet and rather water logged. We have clay a few hundred mm below the surface which seems to stop water from draining away quickly.
Just wondered if its worth me digging a sump or two to try and speed up removing the water prior to digging foundation trenches?
Has anyone done this before? Im not talking about out trenches whilst digging them, Im thinking of doing this a couple of weeks before we start.
