Hello all,
I've ended up stripping the drylining back in my kitchen due to refurb. It was standard drywall w/ timber stud and polystyrene slabs to insulate. Plastic sheet was between all stud work/timbers and the external wall.
When i pulled the plasterboard off it was clear that it was a bit damp. Plastic sheet was wet with condenstation. after it was all ripped out the brick wall is black with mould.
My kichten has three exterior walls and is naturally cold. Also, the PO didn't have an extractor fan in the kitchen for god knows how long.
I'm thinking the black wall is a bad thing. Also, I need to renew this plasterboard and need to know the best approach.
All advice is welcome!
