I am about to install a falmec island hood in our kichen. I bought some ducting from the local plumbers merchant - he recommended some plastic stuff that looks like one of those slinky toys. Now I've just read on another internet site that I should be using metal ducting only with an extractor hood.
What's the situation? Is it absolutely necessary to use metal ducting, or just recommended?
