I've just replaced an insulated flexible duct that form part of our warm air heating system. After a few hours of running the room it feeds still hasn't warmed up much. So I went up into the loft void where the duct runs and it was quite warm to touch. I them put a temperature probe at each end and it was 55C going in and only 40C at the outlet 10m away. As it's insulated I wold expect less heat loss than this. I looked on the manufactures website for heat loss per m of ducting but nothing. Does this seem about right or have I been sold a bit of cheap ducting. Only other thought was it was very squashed up in the box, it might take a day or two to fully expand and the insulation to fill with air and do it's thing.
