Dukka tape on Wedi board?

I’ve got some Wedi backer board for tiling a kitchen Splashback, but I can’t get hold of Wedi Joint Reinforcement Tape as quickly as I’d like.

I can get Dukka Waterproof Tape - I take it this would be a suitable alternative?

Also, can I take straight over the tape without priming?

yes you can use it its good but expensive stuff.but any cheap joint tape will do the trick.
splash backs are no big deal - thers hardly any moisture goin on them.

you dont have to prime anythin just trowel on the adhesive with the flat edge of the trowel an then comb it out.

leave a tile spacer gap at the bottom course/work top junction an apply silicone to seal the gap after the grouts set
