I am redoing door frames & skirting. Done a coat of undercoat now doing top coat. Using Dulux Professional liquid Gloss. Is it meant to be like water? It is so thin & dripping everywhere, not even clinging to brush

That's why it's called 'liquid gloss'. If it drips your technique is poor.

no, it shouldn`t be like undercoat  You need a decent ( acrylic for me) brush a paint kettle to decant some paint into- and tap the loaded brush on the inside - and some practise ;) OR admit you`re DIY and use non- drip paint straight from a tin ;) No shame in that

Got the topcoat on & pleased with result! just suprised initially as to it being so thin & watery

It will be thinner, due to the warm weather.

The warmer it is, the thinner it is, the colder it is, the thicker it is.

It is an oiled based gloss but Growler you were spot on with weather conditions - what a difference it makes. Anyway all finished now & so pleased I bought good paint. Thanks All

does it get warm in antarctica ;) I remember Magnet Lead based gloss  that got thick in the heat of summer doing outsides with my old dad - The old B`gur wouldn`t let me " ease" it too much with white spirit either
