Dummy chimney

Hi Guys and Gals,

I want to build a dummy chimney breast in my 1st floor lounge as a focal point and mount one of those contemporary wall hung type electric fires. Does anyone have any tips, recommended materials to use? Shouldn't be too difficult but any suggestions appreciated.

I assumed that was best, but thanks for confirming it. Do I have to do anything to the plasterboard because of the heat of the fire when switched on? I don't want a fire risk.
