OK, not an elec program, but worth a quick shot here before the mods relocate!

I have just bought a Sony Handycam. It is the one with the HDD built in, so you download the footage to your PC to write to DVD.

I can write to DVD with the software provided, but it is simply a playback only type thing.

I have tried using the Roxio that I have on the computer for making CD's, and it seems incredibly difficult to create DVD's with the menus, front pages etc etc.

What software do others recommend?

I am not after free software (although would never say no to free stuff), but a concensus on what to look for and buy would be great!

TMPG dvd author is what I've been recommended to use in the past

I use nero,

it lets you select bits, put titles in make silly bits (never tried that bit though)

I use DVD Lab. U can do tons with it but i suppose it is whatever you find the easiest and most fun to use..

Pinnacle rang a huge bell in my head from other reviews.....ordered the Pro package.....
