Hi all.
I’m building a lean to on the side of my garage and having laid a concrete slab, plans are evolving.
My slab is 4inch thick with 6mm mesh on a DPM above 4inch on MOT, all surrounded by 2inch thick edging. The lean to is only for bike and garden tool storage.
Question 1…
I’m going to build a dwarf wall, 6 courses high with a timber frame on top and flat roof. How close to the edge of the slab can I build? Can I go to the edge of the concrete?
Question 2…
What’s the best way to secure the sole plate to the dwarf wall? Thunderbolts or L restraining straps?
Question 3…
Sloping joists or firings?
Any thoughts greatly appreciated.
