Builder built this Dwarf wall and as it was not the correct height he cut blocks about 2" thick and laid them on top. They were so uneven I made him take the outside row off and redo it as the conservatory sill will be sitting on this. He seems to think this finish is not a problem but I am worried about drilling down into blocks this thin.

Providing the sill fixings go right through the top block and into the full block, there should be no problems.

Just been told by another builder that the block insulation wii make the wall sweat. Also that the corner wall where the Threshold is not finished properly. Just don't know who to believe,

Full fill PIR and zero air gap - like it.

DPC sticking out - class.

No vertical DPC - getting better.

No bricks showing below DPC - to notch.

At the end of the day it is a connie and it is being rendered. Just hope the renderer does a quality job.(y)

Thanks, so if it's rendered & painted I should get away with it?
Thinner insulation? Gap is 85mm. with 80mm. insulation.

In reply to Princeofdarkness, the supplier has supplied 100mm. bolts for fixing the sill so they would get no grip. As Iv'e said I made him redo the outside row so that I have a full block finish.

Any one got ant ideas hoy to remove the insulation?
