Can anybody tell me how to change the cable on a dyson vaccum cleaner DC04.There is a small hole behind the switch,i think you need a special tool to get into this hole then the panel will come of allowing you to change the cable.I have tried a thin screwdriver but it could be a torx driver end .Help need thanks.
We do not have a dyson service place in my town,and being an electrician thought would tackle this one myself as the cables are available online.

You need to remove the switch actuator(yellow button).You insert your small screwdriver down the back of the yellow butoon(small hole you mentioned) then try & lever the release arm of the button while at the same time pulling up.It can be done but it is a bit of a pig, but as dyson charge £55 for a call out it is worth persevering with.Good luck.
