If a TNS installation has 16mm tails, and a 10mm main earthing conductor, would 6mm main equipotential conductors be ok to use (ie to gas, water etc) or would you have to use 10mm as that is what the main earth is??

Thanks

Hello

Just to confuse the issue, the OSG states the minimum csa of the MEBC is half that of the main earthing conductor. (So your 6mm would be adequate ??) However, in the next breath they state that for 100A 'TN' systems the main earthing conductor needs to be 16mm, and the MEBC's 10mm (where the the size of the neutral conductor is no more than 35mm). ???????

Go with 10mm and you're covered ?. ;)

What size is the supply?
The relationship with the neutral conductor is normally more associated with a TN-CS (PME) supply, given the OSG is misleading in this sense.
