Eaton i-on 40 alarm keypad locked.

Hello. Could anyone put me right. My friend has an Eaton i-0n40 alarm and recently the keypad locked up . The alarm displays a "call installer" and shows "K1-01" . Is it possible to enter this alarm key pad with an engineers code as most of them have. It could be that the battery needs changing ( i need to enter the box to find out what type of 12dc battery is being used). Does anyone know the engineers code to be able to enter the box without setting off the alarm and how to unlock the keypad as it is now? I need to find out how to enter the code on the keypad with the right procedure. Thank you for your help.
