Hi,

I want to install some eave trays as water is dropping behind the gutter as the felt at the bottom is degraded.

I want to know how to push back or remove the first row of tiles so I can do the install please.

Any guidance very much appreciated!

The first course is probably nailed. Push up the second and remove the first. Don't forget bird gaurd/ comb filler

Thanks....for that guidance. Understand what your saying, a couple of questions.... 1- could any 2nd row be nailed? 2- when you state bird guard/comb filler I think you mean the eaves ventilation...are u advising I need to careful when placing the eaves tray, so not to block the ventilation ? Thanks again!

Your tiles look like Redland Grovebury, they need something to stop birds nesting.....comb filler

The eave comb fillers are to stop birds/vermin getting under the tiles at the eaves.

Out of interest can I please ask why the eaves tray has to be placed under the felt and not on top of the felt? Just interested to know ....

If you place trays on top of the felt, the rain will run under them and down the back of your gutters.
