I’ve put capping board over wooden fascia’s. This have left the tile overhang a bit shorter than I would like. Water is going into the gutter but I want something to prevent it tracking back.
The roof is 1930 plain tile with no felt underneath.
I was looking at fitting eaves trays. If I fixed these to the last batten (eaves tile batten) they would have to be cut down in height. Or would I need to remove the last batten and fit a new one on top of the tray?
The other alternative is removing eaves tiles, fixing 9inch damp course to the last batten and leaving an overhang into the gutter.
Which is the better option? Or are there any alternative suggestions.
Do eaves trays usually get fitted on plain tiles or only larger tiles?
Thanks
