Eco 24 boiler having pressure getting to 3 when heating is on

Hi All.

I am just having an issue with a Main Eco 24 boiler, when the heating is turned on the pressure just shoots up, please note that the heating has not been turned on since the summer (not used for a few months now).

The hot water works fine without any problems.

I would just like to know if anyone knows what the issue could be, in the past it has had its filling loop changed and before there was a leak on the system which was later fixed in the past.

Ohh dear, is there a solution or this needs replacing ?
What also causes the expansion to break, is it because it has not been used for some time ?

Might just needs recharging, doesnt necessarily need replacing.
