Hello.

I am currently renting out a flat to a mate of mine and since he moved in
he has reported a problem with the boiler (copper cylinder thing?) is not
producing enough hot water. Enough to do the washing up for the day and thats it !! Before ringing up a plumber and getting mugged up is there
anything you guys can advise to point me towards the problem. Being a complete plumber novice, it's worth checking with you guys that a simple twiddle here or there may sort it.

Would really appreciate any advice. Cos it worked when I lived there..i'm sure he's doing something wrong!!!

Could be the timer is not on long enough to heat the water in the cylinder or if you have emersion heater, could be faulty. See what the others think......

Thanks for that masona

Is there anyway for me to check this or would anyone else have any ideas ?

Cheers Guys.

I have never seen a clock or a timer anywhere in that area but i'll be going down there tonight to have a good nose. I will have a better idea of the setup......
