ecu problem

I have a Fiat Punto auto 1200 16v.
I have the same problem as Sparkie 1984
could someone tell me where to locate this ECU. I am a very frustrated old lady.

I think frustration comes with the package
Early models, bolted to the inner wing, offside
Later models, under the air filter, secured to the throttle body as far as I remember.

Better to get the fault codes read by your local garage. See what needs going, unless you have already had this done, or at least attempted? The ECU will be expensive to repair/replace, so best to check all the cheaper stuff (sensors etc) first.
