Another computational suckcess(pit) at the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) !!

Laughable, except 'tis our dosh again !!

BTW My old company handed over IT from our 'own' specialists to the same lot, those of us using the IT dept for specialist software ... just eventually looked elsewhere, at extra cost .. they always seemed to know how they could not help .. the opposite of what we had been used to !!
Pay 'em in co-op checks .. and that would be too much !!

There is a fundermental issue with all that's going on with the pensions, endowments etc
The fact that you entered into a "Contract" when joining the schemes seems to have been forgotten by the courts, if it is so easy to change contracts then(also seems to apply to contracts of employment) then eventually the whole system will fail.
Tha goes for the Law aswell! if you change the goal posts with one thing then the basics of law and rules must also fall by the wayside.
without doubt those pensioners at the electronics firm must take the fight to the european courts and turn around the interpretation of the english judge.
The possible big picture is the lack of respect for the law in the future and what next Anarchy?(pictures in my mind of the blue rinse brigade swinging their handbags and zimmer frames outside parliament)

Hey up Ken .. was having a blog about the Govn computer systems going down .. again !! You misposted ?
Tis Monday morning !!
;)

No Pip, i was using the post to get it off my chest as the mention of pensions and recent news of events were still hot off the press and knowing that the subject of pensions are close to your heart :)

Tell you what .. when that day comes .... It is nice to think you have made a pretty good stab at providing for the future ... the alternative is to do nothing !!
I guessed long since, that plenty who do nothing are also very street wise with regard to benefits etc and will do ok for themselves by playing the system.
I feel sorry for the others ... done nothing .. too proud or not streetwise enough to know the system ... they'll be the silent suffering majority.
I read an article this w/e .. a retired pensions advisor, he said the people less lightly to listen are the young ones ... missing the opportunity to get that money working long term .... optimism of youth I suppose ... We 60's teens were gonna 'live it up' til 30 then die ... Now we are talking pensions and retirement !! ;)
