The manual for the EDN Velux flashing is showing the following but it is mainly for a batten installation used in England.
In Scotland most slated roof make use of sarking.
My question is regarding the bottom of the Velux, according to the diagram I need to leave a 140mm gap for the flashing, is it normal just to leave a gap / void of 140mm below the Velux? (seems odd)
I guess this 140mm wide strip will be a fragile part of the roof and people should not walk on it, right?
I found some info at https://www.yarddirect.com/blog/hav...-the-velux-edn-flashing-yard-is-here-to-help/
Anyone has experience of installing EDN Velux flashing on sarking?
