Carried something in to this customers garage/workshop and he had a great workshop but parked up was this
Large forklift.

I had to ask him what he used it for, he had a fair bit of land and out buildings but couldn't see how it could be used.

"Well I used it for years and it never let me down and I couldn't bear to let it go !"

I told him I've seen all sorts of things in people's houses over the years but he was the first person I'd ever met who had a large forklift ( it was in fantastic condition ) at home.

He laughed when I said " So you kept it because you have an emotional attachment to it !"

There's nowt so strange as folk !

A farmer I do work for used to have a pig as a pet.

This pig only had 3 legs. I asked what happend to his missing leg.
He told me that he's part of our family since the pig saved his child from drowning in the pond at the bottom of the hill.
I had tears in my eyes.. The pig swam and pulled the boy out.

Is that how he lost his leg.?
No

He attacked an intruder while we slept. Knocking him out. The police come and arrested the man.

Is that how he lost his leg?
No

How I asked

"A Pig like that" he said.. .. You don't eat it all at once.
