Elec back boxes first or plaster first

Hi all
My rooms are plasterboarded and are soon to be skimmed/plastered,I will be using quick fix back boxes for all sockets,is it best to fit them before or after skimming is done, I can see the sense in doing before as there no chance of cracking plaster later when cutting out, but I can also see the sense in after as maybe easier for the plasterer and possible a better finish, any advice would be much appreciated

Dry wall boxes?

Cut out the holes, skim then fit boxes.
